Introduction of the Center
Founded in 1992, the Center for Art and Technology plays a crucial role in the integration and development of art and technology. It also serves as an important multi-directional link with the international scene. Under the Center there are the Tran-Sonic Lab, the Trans-Disciplinary-Media Lab, Ultra-Communication Vision Lab, and the Tangible Interface Lab. The labs are champions in promoting the application of digital technology in research and creative work in Taiwan's arts. The Center not only attests to TNUA's uniqueness, but also tries to probe the possibilities of "future art" in the form of cross-disciplinary integration of art and technology.
