The meeting was attended by representatives from TICA’s member universities, which implement TaiwanICDF’s international education and training project by offering scholarships for foreign students.

The meeting discussed matters concerning the TICA scholarship project and presented awards to member universities that made outstanding achievements in implementing their foreign student scholarship programs during the 2016-2017 academic year.

A total of 1,904 students from 61 countries around the world have studied in Taiwan over the years thanks to the TICA project.

TNUA President Prof. Chen Kai-Huang noted that TNUA is a small yet strong higher institution of the arts, and it is glad to play a role in helping the country promote its international programs.

Apart from TNUA, the TICA members that sent representatives to the meeting included: National Cheng Kung University, National Dong Hwa University, I-Shou University, National Pingtung University, National Chengchi University, National  Tsing Hua University, National Taiwan University, National Taiwan Ocean University, National Yang-Ming University, National Taiwan Normal University, National Central University, National Sun Yat-sen University, National Chung Hsing University, National Chung Cheng University, National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences, Yuan Ze University, Kaohsiung Medical University, Taipei Medical University, and Kun Shan University.
