“Voyage” – the 2016 edition of the annual Kuandu Arts Festival – will feature almost 30 groups of local and foreign performers in a more than one month long feast at TNUA from September 29 till October 30.

The 2016 edition will offer more than 40 performances in a “Voyage Program” gathering together artists from the United States, France, Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong.

From the United States will be Paul Taylor Dance Company, which will stage a total of six classic dances in two performance sessions.

Adrien M/Claire B from France will perform “Hakanai,” a perfect blend of the human body and projection technology.

SMPLE from Japan will present a performance inspired by Japanese author Natsume Soseki’s novel “The Wayfarer.”

Singapore’s T.H.E. Dance Company will invite the audience to a contemplation of the human being’s chaotic situations.

Theatre Ronin from Hong Kong will stage a play adapted from Dung Kai Cheung’s novel about a return to “nature” in an era of disintegration.

Another Hong Kong group, “Alice Theatre Laboratory,” will stage a performance to highlight the essence of Kafka.

The festival will also feature performances by outstanding TNUA alumni. Huang Yi Studio will show the audience the profound meanings beyond the surface of a performance.

BodyEDT and Sun-Shier Dance Theatre will jointly present a performance about the keen awareness of “relationships” in quiet moments. Anarchy Dance Theatre will stage an outdoor performance.

During October, there will be other arts festival going on at TNUA, including the newly introduced KuanDu Light Art Festival (KDLAF).
