TNUA President Prof. Chen Kai-Huang met with renowned Japanese architect Kazuyo Sejima during his August visit to SANAA, the Tokyo-based architectural firm she co-founded.

The main purpose of Prof. Chen's three-day (August 8 to 10) visit to Tokyo was to invite Ms. Sejima to take part in the making of a "Master Plan" for the development of the TNUA campus.

During their meeting, Prof. Chen gave a presentation of his ideas about the "Master Plan," and Ms. Sejima gladly made a promise to visit TNUA later to better understand how the campus can be developed.

Ms. Sejima jointly founded SANAA with another Japanese architect Ryue Nishizawa in 1995.

In 2004 SANAA's work won the Golden Lion award of the Venice Biennale of Architecture, and in 2010 received the Pritzker Prize.
